I agree with Umar Mukhtar that Rehman Rashid failed to assimilate among the sluggish.

However, the fact remains that he failed to comply with his work contract. Put aside that he is a prolific writer - in the end, he failed to do his job.

Yes, there could be other reasons for the sacking and the NST was using just this o­ne to get rid of Rehman but hey, that's life.

If you're not up to fulfilling your duties, you are in no position to question why you were sacked.
