Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and PKR vice-president Azmin Ali have been urged to put aside their differences to prevent negative publicity on Pakatan Rakyat.
 
In a press release today, PAS Youth chief Suhaizan Kayat said that the duo should focus their energy on other pressing issues, such as rising cost of living, government leakages and corruption.
 
"The Selangor government should provide their undivided attention on welfare issues. This will show why Pakatan is different from BN and Umno.
 
"(They should do this and not) worsen internal conflicts which will affect public confidence in Pakatan," said Suhaizan.
 
He added that 53 percent of those who voted in the last general election had sought reforms promised by Pakatan, instead of power struggles and prolonged infighting practiced by BN and Umno.
 
Suhaizan stressed that PAS Youth was not trying to stick its nose in other people's business, but was being a responsible partner in Pakatan.
 
Azmin has reportedly long-harboured hopes of taking the reins from Khalid, who is not popular among some in PKR who believes that he should provide party members access to lucrative government projects.
 
Recently, another row between the duo erupted after Azmin was dropped from the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) board.
 
Khalid said that he had no hand in the decision and that it was made by the company's management. He has declassified documents to back his claim.
