Could Riza be a proxy owner of US properties?

YOURSAY ‘Only in Malaysia are politicians' family members able to accumulate such wealth.’
New Beverly Hills attraction - 'Riza Villa'
Dont Just Talk: After a six-year stint as a banker in London, Riza Shahriz Abdul Aziz could afford to purchase not one but two units of a high-end, luxury condominium in Central Park, New York costing US$33 million and another luxury property overlooking West Hollywood for US$17.5 million.
He must have struck gold in United States within the short period of time. Maybe, like what Sarawak Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud said, all you need is hard work and some
brains, you can own luxury properties in Canada, like his children.
Pemerhati: It would be interesting to follow the money trail. Perhaps it started from France after the Scorpene deal when PM Najib Razak, then defence minister, allegedly got about RM500 million in kickbacks from the Scorpene deal.
Rosmah Mansor got worried that Najib might given that money to his children from his previous marriage and so she sweet talked him into parting with most of that money and gave it to her children from her earlier marriage.
That money will also act as insurance for her in case Najib again decides to get another wife.
Caripasal: Never mind, someone got his money from his very hard working ‘mummy’ who has been saving for her entire life to buy him the mansion.
Not forgetting the diamonds, Hermes bags, etc. In Malaysia, the ultimate winner is always the one who is the most corrupt. They are not afraid of ‘neraka’ (hell).
CiViC: Only in Malaysia are politicians' family members able to accumulate such wealth, and gets away with it with a big arrogant smile on their faces.
Here we have the prime minister's stepson buying up multi-million properties in US, while in Sarawak the chief minister's son accumulates billions of ringgit in wealth.
Negarawan: Riza Aziz could be buying properties as a proxy. An investigation needs to be done on his sources of funding.
It appears that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is pretending not to know.
Appum: MACC says it is impotent to act. So why not keep buying property after property after property... It's like the MACC is giving the green light to flaunt your wealth.
Riza dropped from Oscar nominations
Awakened: Besides the best movie, best director, best actor, and best producer, Oscar should add another title called the best financier.
Indeed, Riza should be nominated for the best financier award as it’s an achievement for a person to have come up with so much money at such a young age and in such a short time.
Vijay47: This is another example of the bullying racist imperialist United States using its might to remove a potential threat to their grip on movies and in fact the entire entertainment world.
What is Riza's sin? That he comes from a humble god-fearing nation that is striving to keep in tandem with progress and using its god-given skills and resources to bring a better life to its people?
That he is a Malay? Riza did not cheat anybody, he did not blow anybody up - all he did was to use the money he saved over the years since childhood through the thrift he learned on his mother's ample lap.
To earn this, he denied himself the trappings of the rich and famous, often limiting his meagre meals to humble vegetables.
We see again the evil machinations of the Jewish clique banding up to prevent a newcomer into a terrain they view as their private turf. What makes Hollywood's act even more criminal is that Riza does not read the New York Times, nor even wear a tudung.
Not Confused: Vijay47, that is the most amusing post that I've read in a long time. So much sarcasm in such a short piece. Well done!
James1067: Malaysians are not interested in the dropping of Riza from the best producers nomination of the Academy Awards.
The Americans are not bothered as to the source of income as they had protected many corrupt and evil leaders as long as their agenda is fulfilled.
The Malaysians are concerned as they are the ones told to tighten their belts while the children of top politicians have unexplained wealth.
Ferdtan: Riza Aziz, we only have this to say: “Lembu punya susu, sapi dapat nama.” Financing a film does not make you a producer.
Where you got your millions, billions, is a big question mark. And there is no prize for getting the right answer.
Riza, if you want to be a real film producer, work hard for it. I guess working hard is never in your and Umno’s vocabulary. When it is so easy you must have believed God (or Malaysians) owe you a living.
