Anwar blamed for 'rising Christian threat'

Versey: If these accusers of Christian evangelisation have an iota of intelligence, understand and know how to make use of the God-given gifts of wisdom embedded in God's word, they would have realised that something must be severely wrong in their fear of the 10 percent minority community in the country despite of such tight law against proselytisation to Muslims.

They ought to ponder and think profoundly and ask themselves if they have lived a life that reflects the goodness and virtue as taught in their own Holy Scripture. If they have, then they should have confidence in their faith and rest assured that their God will be known and revered, and none of their brethren who sincerely desire to follow God's teachings can be easily swayed away.

However, if they themselves have not lived up to God's command, then they should have no one to blame but themselves and is it not time for them to repent and get themselves on the right path instead of showing their own weaknesses by pointing fingers at others?

Sali Tambap: I feel sorry for them. They are creating an artificial threat and then fear their own creation. Remember the purported mass baptism of Malay Muslims in Perak which was brought up by none other the state mufti? It was a lie of course.

Even though I am not a Muslim, I respect Islam in a sense that it is worthwhile religion with a set of its own virtues. My church teaches that Muslims are people who worship the true God.

If Islam is exemplified by Muslim like Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) president Abdullah Zaik Abdul Rahman, I am not sure if this religion is worthy of my respect anymore. I hope not.

I want to believe that Islam is one of the great religions and Abdullah Zaik is a Muslim misfit.

This is your sixth commandment. It is equivalent to the ninth commandment in the Bible which says: “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.”

Muslim extremists like you and your organisation have broken that commandment many times over. Where is your proof that Christian missionaries or evangelists have converted Muslims into Christianity? None. N-O-N-E!

Proselytising to Muslims is an offence, but yet not one single missionary or evangelist has been charged. That simply means you lot have been lying. You lot are not only liars and stupid but also ‘kurang ajar’.

Islam is under threat, you all have claimed. Yes, it is under threat - from the very Muslims themselves like you.

Sabahan: Just wondering how this ustaz can rationalise that Christian evangelisation is getting brazen? There is absolutely no evidence offered, just a bare faced lie.

We know the issue has been brought about by people seeking selfish ends for political expediency. How now that we have become a laughing stock in the eyes of people beyond our shores.

We sweat, we struggle, we toil to enjoy the harvest that work brings, only for the inept, the indolent, and the avaricious among whom you number to rob, steal, and extort what rightfully is ours.

And you have the gall to question us? Were would you be if our visionary generous pioneering forefathers had not come here to create a land of plenty where none existed, to give ingrates like you a better life despite your abject unworthiness?

And you dare question us? Just ponder, Abdullah Zaik, what this country would be if tomorrow all the non-Malays suddenly disappeared. You will then have no one else to blame and it would slowly dawn on you that the real architects of your misery, your backwardness, and your monumental laziness are of your own stock.

But I doubt you have the intellect to realise even this.

Flamescanner: The sad thing about this is that fellows like Abdullah Zaik have the platform to spread this kind of rubbish to the masses, via Utusan Malaysia obviously.

Unfortunately, they have a readership. All our comments here do not reach the same audience. When you feed insanity on a daily basis, madness you will reap, unfortunately from people who were very level headed before.

The silent majority need to wake up and counter this trend now, else it won't be a silent 'majority' anymore. Increasingly, these fellas are creating a ridge of discontent between the people, out of thin air.

Remember what happened to Germany in the time of Hitler. The people were all in a daze till they woke up several years later, in ruins and having destroyed millions of lives. Where is our platform to reach out to the common folk, to counter these ridiculous neo-Nazi/apartheid views? The views of Abdullah Zaik is not the Islam that I know.

YF: Who is being insolent? The 1.5 billion Muslims are saying there is something seriously wrong with Islam in Malaysia so why blame non-Muslims when you have 1.5 billion of your ummah who do not agree with you?

PenangGuy: Yes, go ahead and blame Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim for everything that is bad.

We have laws in our country that forbid anyone from converting Muslims to any other religion. So why is Isma president afraid that the Christians are trying to evangelise the Muslims?
