I lived in the Sri Petaling area of KL, but the frequency of power failure makes me think I am living in an underdeveloped country. Forget Wawasan 2020.

Despite being charged more per unit, we are still getting sub-standard service. Yet Tenaga is now a public-listed company o­n the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange.

Just to show how frequent the power outages occur when we are at home - March 16 (1 hour), March 19 (4 hours), March 24 (1 hour) and May 6 (3 hours). What about the outages that occur when we were not around to notice it? The irony is most power failures happen from 11pm until about 1am or 3am.

Past experiences has shown that whenever there was a power failure, property or lives were lost as a result of fire from people using candles as lighting.

Perhaps the ACA should have a look into it. Is someone in Tenaga is buying inferior quality equipment or we are being victimised for someone else's gain?
