Religious rule for maids reasonable

Referring to the letter 'Religious rule for maids infuriating', I'm sorry to say that I agree with the policy of ensuring that Muslim maids are to be employed by Muslims and vice-versa.
The main reason being that I have personally experienced two of my non-Muslim neighbours not allowing their Muslim Indonesian maids to do their normal daily prayers and also forcing them to cook non-halal foods.
Distraught Employer who wrote the letter may not be committing the crime but sadly the reality is too glaring to be ignored.
