YOURSAY ‘Hey, Jude... karma has a way of kicking you in the face.’

Ex-cop Jude Pereira not allowed to practise law

Pemerhati: For former police officer Jude Pereira, his failure of being admitted into the Bar is probably a temporary setback. After all the favours and dirty work he did for PM Najib Razak, it is quite likely that Najib will try and sort things out for him.

But then there is also a possibility that Najib may just forget about him as he forgot about Altantuya Shaariibuu and Deepak Jaikishan.

But by now Najib probably has learnt his lesson that if someone does you a favour then you must help that person as much as possible. Otherwise the person could turn hostile and do a lot of damage.

Fair Play: It serves Jude Periera right, I must say. The Bar Council must have their reasons for not allowing him to practice law. No doubt, the Attorney-General’s Chamber would welcome him.

Senior Citizen: High Court judge Zaleha Yusof (who allowed the Bar Council's objection against admitting Pereira as an advocate and solicitor) is indeed an exceptional judge here in Malaysia. Anybody whose case appears before her can expect justice in its true form.

At last, the Malaysian judiciary is on the rise and we can hope to regain our past heritage of having one of the best judiciary in the world which was sadly mutilated by the former PM.

God bless justice Zaleha and may we have the nation’s first female chief justice.

Hermit: I can only pity Jude. When he was tearing the envelope containing the specimen of Sodomy II, Jude was under the seizure of loss of memory.

It is the duty of Bar Council to prevent the admission of lawyers who are easily prone to attack by bout of loss of memory. It is enough for the council to bear with already one ‘Correct, Correct, Correct’ member.

Ong Guan Sin: Somehow, I’m feeling a little sweeten reading this out of all the bitterness lately in Malaysia. Justice will always prevail; it's a matter of time. Have faith.

Fairnessforall: Karma has a way of kicking you in the face. He got what he deserved. As they say, as you sow, so you shall reap.

Umno trying to milk 'Allah' row, says WSJ

Zen: The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) should not poke its unwanted nose in Malaysian affairs. It could do a better job trying to figure out how United States could get out of its US$2 trillion debt mess.

WSJ could also contribute by informing the American public that Wall Street is headed towards a Great Crash in 2015.

Jiminy Qrikert: Zen, how nice that Malaysia is able to command the attention of the world. Isn't it great that a Malay leader is featured in WSJ?

Just think, a small puny country with the majority race pushing for exclusivity over a word that is freely used in the rest of the world has arrested the attention of a most influential international business newspaper!

Surely, Malays are now being given due recognition. Surely, Malay will become a world language soon. Eh, Zen?

It looks like The Herald editor Father Lawrence Andrew has the support of the international community, including rest of the Muslims in the world. Umno has the support of about one-third of Malays.

At about 17 million Malays in this country, that means Umno has the support of about six million Muslims.

So, 23 million Malaysians plus the rest of the world are aligned against Umno on this issue. Oh yes, plus all the Gerakan, MCA and MIC running dogs and imbeciles.

Not Confused: Of course, the world knows that Umno is fighting a rearguard action to try to regain the lost support of the Malays.

It’s an exercise in futility, and anyone with a grain of common sense would know that. However, the desperation has set in and this time, the shift of support away from Umno-BN will not be reversed.

The intelligent Muslims in Malaysia are at last catching on. Umno believe that the way to bring wayward Muslims into the fold is to create fear in them.

ABCD: This is how Pakatan is being trapped by Umno. When the people is not satisfied with Umno (support drop to 38%), Umno play the Allah issue to regain support.

A recent poll show that more than 77 percent of Malays support the government move to stop Christian using the word ‘Allah’. Yes, Umno is cunning.

Toonarmy: WSJ, please mention that we have a pseudo state religious leader who called for the mass murder of peaceful Malaysians.

This barbarian is a state religious leader employed by Umno to frighten Muslim Malaysians from peaceful demonstrations against the illegitimate government.

This dangerous Taliban fanatic should be arrested, jailed and chained for the rest of his life but remains free and was never questioned over his outrageous remarks.
