Abu Kassim Mohamed, if you don't have the courage to handle the job and to take concrete steps to root out this endemic problem, you should resign instead of making idiotic statements that contradict all logical findings to the contrary.

Well Thats Fantastic: It's not hard to find graft here, just send some plain clothes detectives into most government agencies with the need for a licence or permit, most times you are told that paying extra ensures getting what you want.

And the wives, children have no qualms enjoying lives spending that kind of money. They are totally lacking in a sense of right and wrong, and of correct values like honesty.
Supercession: Umno & Co should be proud that they have perfected the art of fraud. Perhaps they should organise an awards ceremony and have it telecast live on Astro?

Now that they're taken to task, we'll see their reaction and response towards someone like you in stopping their high-handedness and intimidation.
May this be a good lesson to prevent further blind aggression from all those stupid authorities who mistakenly think all the people are weaklings. Keep it up, we're all for justice and righteousness.

Fair&Just: Yes. We old folks are not afraid to 'sacrifice' our freedom and lives for real democracy, fairness and justice at the risk of arrest and intimidation anymore.
As we are the generation that bore the full brunt of the apartheid-like discrimination, deprivation and degradation of the system, but who had been held back by survival issues and hopes of reconciliation with the apartheid regime.
And many of our meek, timid selves had prevented us from earlier embarking on positive, constructive demands for fair and just treatment.
Fair Play: The powers-that-be had bitten off more than it can chew. By fighting unrelated battles (from price hikes, to religious matters to taking on civil rights groups) on several fronts, it would only dissipate their energy and coordinated efforts.
Already the world community is frowning at them for the manner that they handled the religious matter and the Comango issue.
RR: The Umno-BN government should be given an award for being very creative in suppressing public views. Come on, please attend to the pressing needs of the country where many systems are going kaput.
Just two examples: The havoc in hospitals with operation theatre breakdowns and the sick suffering more by going to these hospitals, or the Road Transport Department system failure and long queues to get licenses and many more.
Toonarmy: When countries such as Pakistan and Afghanistan are able to ratify the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, which Malaysia has not, it only goes to show the determination of the extremists in Malaysia to make our country even more extreme than Pakistan and Afghanistan, and puts us behind these two countries in terms of civil and political rights.
