It is regrettable that PAS deputy Youth chief Salahuddin Ayob cannot distinguish between Peace Now and the Israeli government. Ariel Sharon and his evil government would be quite happy to not allow a Palestinian state, 'put down' the Palestinian fighters in the intifadah and bring in more settlers to take away more Palestinian lands, but Salahuddin must understand that there are Jewish people who do not want to have anything to do with violence and want to stop the occupation of Muslim lands.

There are many NGOs and private citizens in Israel and Jews in America who are not o­n Ariel Sharon's side. These people understand that Israeli government's draconian laws and terrorism o­n the oppressed Palestinian people, directly creates the circle of violence. There are cases of Israelis going over to the occupied territories and trying to help the Palestinians and some of them have even gotten shot by the Israeli defence force themselves. There are also many petitions to 'Stop the War o­n Iraq' initiated by groups like this.

If Salahuddin thinks all Jews are bad, then he must also believe that all Muslims are good. I wonder if he has not heard of incest, murders, child abuse cases, robberies, rapes and countless other heinous crimes done by so-called Muslims? This kind of mentality will forever keep Salahuddin and his party in the backwaters of politics.

We all have our good apples and our bad o­nes. Please do not close your mind and please do away with the 'holier than thou' attitude'. We Muslims already have too much of that going round and I personally am quite sick of it.
