One cannot help but think that our PM is talking at cross-purpose. I will not be surprised that the civil servants meet the PM's remarks with derision and disbelief when his party is the one protesting the use of word ‘Allah’ in congregations.
His credibility took a further nosedive when after the Court of Appeal decision, he proclaimed that the decision was confined only to The Herald . This man has little credibility left. His deputy is even worse.
Anticonmen: PM Najib Razak is caught in between the fanatics and the moderates - power and money versus unity in diversity. That's why he is always contradicting himself, much like his mentor.
Onyourtoes: First Najib, you are not the PM of government servants only. Your job is not just to take care of their interest and welfare.
I believe civil servants are more than adequately provided for, given their meagre contributions to the economy.
What has civil service achieved frankly? The economy is in tatters, the ringgit is floundering, the immigrants are running wild and now you can’t even sent them back to their country of origin, infrastructure and public utilities are saddled with exorbitant cost and moronic privatisation deals, public security is deplorable, the environment was the least of their concern, corruption is endemic and incompetency is everywhere.
PM, if you are a true leader, choose a more proper forum to address your ideas and vision. Talking in front a group of civil servants is just like talking in front of a group of numb nincompoops who hear, see, and speak no evil.
The leaders from other countries can praise you and Malaysia and I am sure we occasionally also praised countries like Syria, Egypt, Somalia, and Kazakhstan. But we Malaysians know in our hearts we are not at peace with ourselves.
We know in our hearts the deprivation, the injustice, the inequality, the bullying, the intolerance, the iron fist, the exploitation and more recently, the fascist tendency.
The absence of open conflict and civil strife does not mean that this nation is at peace with itself.
YF: Najib, why do you call an Umno-orchestrated issue ‘tension’?
The real tension is the price hikes, which you have done nothing. That is the tension you and your colleagues should be afraid of. Justice is coming, so be very afraid.
Hearty Malaysian: Najib is sweet talking civil servants, promising rewards if economy become strong; giving false hope that the national economy will return to a robust position under his ineffective, if not irresponsible, leadership.
His indirect ways of shifting responsibility and blame is the bane of this nation; we are heading for real trouble as a nation.

You know for a fact our country is besieged and engulfed in turmoil as can be seen recently - those religious bigots' anti-Christian protest over the ‘Allah’ issue, the public outcry over the slew of price hikes, constant insults thrown against non-Muslims over petty matters, etc.
Yet, you chose to remain silent and nonchalant, which resulted in protest and tensions.
Despite the tensions, you chose to keep mum - and here you claimed world leaders are impressed and envious of Malaysia. Come off it, Mr PM - surely you know the truth and could do better that with all these bulls**t.

Do you think it was proper for Jais (Selangor Islamic Religious Department) to raid a Christian religious place and confiscate the Malay bibles?
Was it proper for Selangor Umno to threaten to demonstrate in front of churches? Was it right for Perak mufti Harussani Zakaria to call for blood of those who demonstrated against the price increases?
One basic question, Najib, you should ask and answer yourself: Who is threatening and whom?
Take action before the fanatics, who have little or no knowledge of religions, disturb the calmness you mentioned. Take control and be a leader before it is too late, Najib.

You mentioned that world leaders feel proud of our "peaceful situation". Apart from why others should feel proud about us, it would be great if you could share with us who these leaders are - Robert Mugabe and Kim Jong Un?
