Raja Noor Jan Shah Raja Tuah has no right to claim to be the sultan of Malacca because the administration of Malacca is enshrined in the federal constitution and the laws of Malaysia, said Chief Minister Idris Haron (right).

"We apply the federal constitution, which states that Malacca is a state administered and managed by a representative of the federation, that is a head of state - Yang di-Pertua Negeri - appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

"I advise him (Raja Noor Jan Shah) to understand the reality," he told reporters after opening a discourse at the Al-Azim Mosque in Malacca yesterday.

Raja Noor Jan Shah had claimed to be a descendant of the sultan of Malacca and had displayed so-called evidence to support his claim on his blog.
