PM Najib Razak's austerity plans aside, many questions arise from his latest shenanigan (the leasing of another private jet - Airbus ACJ320).
1. Why is there a need to "refurbish" Malaysia's ‘Airforce One’ and what exactly does this entail?
2. What would the cost be?
3. When was the previous "refurbishing" done?
4. What would the cost be for leasing Airbus ACJ320 while the older one is getting its makeover? Speaking of which, when was the older one bought?
5. Why should the PM have a plane to jet about? It looks like now every PM can fly!
Lim Chong Leong: Who has anything else to say about Penang CM Lim Guan Eng's new Mercedes?
The PM and his FLOM (First Lady of Malaysia) are jet setting around the world in their NR1 and NR2 - all expenses coming out from our pockets.
Hank Marvin: This is more important to the taxpayers than the Merc, which is not the latest model and bought with RM100,000 discount, bought for the Penang CM.
The company said it has completed refurbishing an aircraft of "the head of state of Malaysia". Now who is the head of state of Malaysia? The PM or the Agong?
Under the Constitution, the Agong is the supreme head of the federation, not the prime minister.
Anonnona: MCA and Gerakan made a lot of noise about Lim Guan Eng acquiring a new Mercedes. I bet those hypocrites will not dare to say anything when it comes to Najib.

The Merc won't affect the electricity tariffs, petrol prices, sugar prices or cause GST. That's all from BN's big spending.

They forgot that Malaysia is still a developing country. As such leaders should not try to live like first world leaders with private planes at their beck and call.
Hang Tuah: Is this the way to save costs? Cutting five to 10 percent of entertainment allowance is just ‘wayang’ (for show) only.
Ask Najib how much is the actual savings. It will never be revealed because it's just peanuts.

Sonofmsia: This is indeed shocking to say the least! A 'divorce' can be cruelly thrust upon someone suddenly and secretly after her spouse had passed away. More so, it involved the sultan and sultanah, and the party involved is the state religious authority.
Even if it is resolved later, it still stinks to high heaven!
Pemerhati: It is interesting to note that in one case you have a powerful stepfather who steals a lot of money from the people of Malaysia so that he can help his stepson to buy a RM110 million condo in New York and also give him hundreds of millions to invest in the US film industry while a powerful stepson in Johor allows or perhaps is instrumental for the shabby treatment of his stepmother.
Odin: I am curious. If the letter from then Johor MB Abdul Ghani Othman took three years to reach former Johor sultanah Tuanku Zanariah Tunku Ahmad, has she been living on Mars or Venus?
Or has the letter been sent using a postal service even slower than snail mail?
Whatshappenning: At least in the civil courts you are given a chance to argue your case and the civil court judges make sure that the welfare of the children are taken care of.
In my case, I was divorced without any reason - no hearing, no court case and you cannot ask, you have to accept it. That is the syariah law.
