Dr Mahathir Mohamad is again engaging the US in another 'war of words' (based o­n) his interview with Al-Jazeera yesterday.

Does he not realise that o­ne of these days his rhetoric will very much ruin the foundation of our economy which has been so painstaking built o­n trade with the US? The US may boycott or blacklist us and in the process the economy may suffer because of o­ne man's bias against the US.

I fail to understand why the prime minister is vehemently championing the cause of the Arab/Islamic countries when these countries themselves have been hardly vocal about what is going o­n in their own backyard.

The point about sending Malaysian journalists to give a more objective coverage of the war is also hypocritical. We should start at home and improve our lot before we go out and preach the mass media of the so-called aggressor countries.
