I wish to reply to SL's letter Since when has Saddam turned idol?

If I'm influenced by Iraqi propaganda as SL says, then SL too is guilty of the same, albeit coming from the US.

Is Saddam Hussein still killing the Kurdish population in Iraq? Or is Saddam now providing assistance to the intifadah in Israel-occupied Palestine?

As I see it, Saddam used to be a menace to the Muslim world. Now he is an ally and provides military assistance to oppressed Muslims worldwide. Perhaps he has repented and sought forgiveness from God. Who is SL to deny Saddam Hussein the right to God's mercy?

Also, who is killing the Iraqis now - Saddam or Bush?
