Perkasa offers itself as alternative to Umno

your say, YoursayVijay47: I have long subscribed to the fervent believe that Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali should never stop taking his medication, especially when heading to his own party's annual general meeting (AGM) or even when making a public statement.

His failure to take his doctor's advice and his distance with reality is quite visible in his recent pronouncements where he equally fervently believes that unlike Umno, his Perkasa is not "losing influence in mainstream politics".

He goes on to crow that it was only through Perkasa's support and contribution that Barisan, note, not just Umno, was able to do well in Perak and Kedah.

No doubt, with a bit of help also from the billions stolen from us. Barisan should be grateful for the likes of Perkasa who in their unstinting commitment to BN's success, sacrificed their own leader when Ibrahim Ali took a savage beating in his own constituency.

What fodder, what inspiration, for Perkasa's beliefs to be made into a Greek drama. Add a couple of dances and we could even come out with a Hindi movie!

Ramesh Rajaratnam: I fully support Perkasa to be registered as a political party and inducted into BN asa component party. This will be great for the 13th general election (GE13).

Ferdtan: I agree with Ramesh Rajaratnam's view, "I fully support Perkasa to be registered as a political party and inducted into BN as a component. This will be great for GE13." Better still Perkasa should be an independent party fighting three ways (BN, Pakatan and Perkasa) for the Malay votes.

If Perkasa can win the overwhelming majority of Malay votes then they can narrowly win Putrajaya by default. The mother of all comedy - we will have Ibrahim Ali as our first non Umno prime minister. Then he can ‘shift out' all of us so called ‘pendatang' (immigrants).

In reality we welcome Perkasa to take part in the next general election, hopefully as a separate party from BN, this will split the hard core Umno voters between them making Pakatan's job easier to win. We dare Ibrahim to do just that.

SenyumUnta: I think that is a good offer! The extreme right Malays in Umno Baru should join Perkasa, led by former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and the deputy PM Muhyiddin Yassin. The more progressive Umno members can remain in Umno Baru/BN led by PM Najib Abdul Razak. Then Umno Baru can prove to Perkasa that without Perkasa they can still win in the next election.

Worried Sick: "Accept the reality without Perkasa, it is impossible for BN to win the last election," he said. Oh my god, if this is indeed true, then why didn't Najib make Ibrahim Ali a minister, at least? He certainly would be a better minister than the present home minister, don't you think?

Guyintheglass: "Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali touted Perkasa as the most structured political party in the country". I thought they call themselves a non-government organisation (NGO)? The Registrar of Societies (ROS) should investigate.

Shibboleth: Perkasa was Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for Umno. It didn't work. So, they are morphing into an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM). And I don't think it will work. This Ibrahim is a good stand up comedian. He provides light entertainment all round the year.

EvenSteven: Perkosa an alternative to Umno? You think the latter is prepared to share their spoils? Get real, Ibrahim Ali my man, it's not going to happen any time soon. Looks like the good old doc is behind the screen manning the puppets in this wayang kulit.

Jaguh: What a bunch of racists who cannot accept reality. BN lost many seats because of Perkasa. Kedah was a different story as there were issues with the ailing menteri besar (MB). Perak, we know why and mind you, it was marginal. Ibrahim, you are a pain to anybody who gets near you. You are a jinx.

Dood: Does Ibrahim Ali even remember that he, standing as a Perkasa candidate for MP, lost his deposit in the recent elections?

SpongeBob: Ibrahim, there is no need to go very far in your struggle for Malays, right now what you should focus on is the elite Malays and the Umno cronies who are depriving the poor, rural and middle income Malays.

It's your own race is the one suppressing, manipulating, providing low quality education and plundering them! Other races to a greater extent helping your community to be competitive.

Ksn: Umno Baru and its leaders like Najib, Muhyiddin, the PM in waiting seem in deep trouble with this offer from Ibrahim Ali and Perkasa. What I mean is Ibrahim Ali is our next PM and Perkasa the ruling party and government.

What else can Malaysia, the Malays in particular aspire for, wish for! By the way, Ibrahim, where is your patron? He sure will have something equally enlightening to add for Malaysia's benefit!

Doc: I totally agree that Ibrahim Ali and Perkasa that Umno is not doing enough to preserve Malays rights and that Perkasa should go at it alone in the next general election on the platform as the only party capable of preserving Malays rights. Based on their current stupendous success in GE13, I'm sure they will do extremely well in GE14. After all, Perkasa winning any seat in GE14 will be a 100 percent improvement.

Real Truth: Yeah, very true, without your help Umno is nothing, but without Umno's money, Perkasa is nothing.

Geronimo: Hear that Najib? Ibrahim Ali is indirectly telling you that you are useless. So what are you going to do about it? Just sit there and smile, I suppose.
