Zachas mural reappears in several JB spots

Less than 24 hours after the controversial Johor Bahru mural by Ernest Zacharevic was whitewashed by the city council, the Lego figures have come back on the walls of the city.
Interestingly, the figures have not only reappeared at the Taman Molek corner, where they were originally painted, but also in several other locations in Johor Bahru.

Photos uploaded online show that both the Lego mugger and Lego woman are at three separate street corners in the Johor capital.
However, it is believed that the figures are not painted on, as before, but pasted on as stickers.
At the Taman Molek location, for example, the revived figures have a different dimension than the original. It is not known who is behind the stickers.
"Last night someone pasted the sticker again and after that, the mural appeared in other locations," activist Koh Wee Sun says in her Facebook posting.
The mural features a knife-wielding Lego mugger waiting to pounce on a Lego woman carrying a Chanel bag - Lithuanian-born Zacharevic's take on Legoland and Johor Bahru's high crime rate.
Local artists had added a Lego policeman next to the mugger in a bid to save the mural, but it did not stop the city council from cleaning out the mural by painting over it.
