Finally, MCA president Dr Ling Liong Sik is stepping down; but is he really serious this time? Ling's intention to quit his post may as well be another 'drama' to reconfirm his 'popularity' among Chinese, especially after Lim Ah Lek has publicly announced his readiness to challenge MCA's presidency in 2005.

Let's just wait and see if Ling is dead serious (like Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad is...ahem), or just another Drama Minggu Ini! Can we expect MCA groups to plead with him not to quit after his announcement?

Honestly speaking, Ling and many other Barisan Nasional leaders overstayed their welcome too long. They should have quit long ago.
