Most first wives would regard themselves as victims. Bar the mentally invincible ones, first wives would tend to think that they are full of shortcomings when their men start roaming. Who are they? She doesn't know. The husband won't tell. She suffers.

Children are victims too. The first marriage will more often than not hit the rocks. Again with a few exceptions. Children will be affected psychologically. Mommy will be seen crying from time to time. Daddy will be missing all the time.

Who are answerable to these victims?

In polygamy cases, it is easy to blame the men for lust, the first wife for incompetence. They are naturally the two louder parties in the three-way battle. Though they are the most visible targets for finger pointing, I contend that the subsequent wives should not be let off the hook. A big subset of this species are status seekers. Proof? Ask the victims.
