Let ICJ settle island issue

I refer to Jeffrey's letter Rocky issues hang over island.
The writer is merely regurgitating what has been reported in the newspapers. Personally, I doubt Singapore is delaying the signing of the special agreement because the republic was the one who suggested (back in 1989) that this be settled at International Court of Justice.
I believe the writer is only as familiar with the territorial dispute as the average reader, so let us not make any pre-judgment. We should let the professional (ICJ) handle this matter. We have much more important issues to resolve.
