Celebrate our diverse festivals

It is really interesting to see and hear the polemics of whose festival is more important or whose should be given priority in the shopping malls. This is indeed ridiculous as festivals are for every one to enjoy, especially in a multicultural, multiracial and multireligious society like ours.
Isn't it wonderful to have Hari Raya and Christmas in the same month this year? Let it be a showcase to the divided world that we Malaysians don't need to quarrel over who gets what first but live together in the spirit of unity and tolerance. Celebrate all festivals with as much decorations and gaiety as possible.
It is so very childish for the media, politicians and some citizens to get worked up and make all sorts of uncalled-for remarks to further hurt and divide our society. This is in contradiction to national unity and patriotism.
