From the bowels of the White House
To the furnace of Downing Street
A cabal of over-charged warlords
Went plotting, scheming, hatching
A battle plan to weed out
The Ogre of Baghdad.

Their lust for din and gore
Unsatiated from the Gulf War
Is rekindled with howling frenzy
As the unfinished work
Must seen to be completed
In a grandmother of all battles.

The father of the Gulf War
Smarting from business uncompleted
Sees vistas of opportunities
For shedding blood profusely
In my son he trusts to fulfil
A task with more rain of death.

With cowboy dash of bravado
Spiced up with Texas belligerence
The gunslingers with haughty strides
Straddle the world stage
"Yoo-hoo! Bloody tyrant!
"Your days are numbered."

Puffs of holy smoke
Snake above the Atlantic
English cousins espy
Wispy trails bespeaking
A grand alliance be forged
For another rousing campaign.

The fiendish-scarred eagle soars
The roguish lion roars
Capitol Hill turns hawkish
Mother of Parliament puckish
"Gee-haa!" gallops brazen George
"By George! Let's go!" exudes Tony.

Nations united stand helpless
No bones to their back
A vocal spectator ceaseless
With their brains they rack
Peace formulae stripped bare
Of all meaning and relevancy.

Soused with burger arrogance
Tippled with cider pride
Brothers in steel armour
See everywhere littered
Innocence maimed, hopes crushed
Freedom from terror misused.

Toll the bell for liberty
But so hollow is victory
One Man stamped out
But no joy in this rout
For seeds of terror
Sprout in spirally horror.
