Eric Mudasi must be thanked for his extremely informative and readable 'bulletin' (No smoke without fire in terror links) on the Malaysian government's complicity, in the past, with local insurgencies in neighbouring countries.

At the same time, it must be pointed out that the blame rests squarely on the shoulders of the dominant party — Umno — in Barisan Nasional.

I cannot imagine the MCA or MIC big guns evincing any interest in such Muslim brotherhood. However, the actual links to Umno are more tenuous. Nothing was officially laid down in party meetings.

It would be interesting if knowledgeable people in Umno would divulge more details and expose the links. But that would make them persona non grata and unsettle their comfortable lives in the privileged cocoons of Kenny Hill and Damansara Heights. I guess we will never know...
