I feel very disappointed with Education Minister Mohamed Musa's stance on the Lower Secondary Examination (PMR) issue. After his trifling statement of the "matriculation grading" issue, he made another remark that I felt very uncomfortable about.

Instead of ensuring the public that the same mistake will not happen again, the minister chose to defend his officials by excusing them as human and prone to errors, thus: "No one should be blamed."

Isn't he, as the minister, supposed to act as a leader and instil confidence in the public that its team is working to be better educators and minders? By defending their own mistakes but not giving any commitment to improve in the future, I doubt if things will get any better.
