You can own RM7mil home - endless possibilities
YOURSAY 'This is obscene corruption and gross severe affront to basic human decency. Zunar aptly described this land as Pirates of the Carry-bn.'
Nazri Jr 'buys RM7mil house', Nazri Sr: 'Not my problem'
James1067: The average Malays have to wait for the leftovers thrown at them, while the top elites and their underage children bask in unaudited millions, luxurious cars and huge palatial mansions.
Race, religion and royalty have been used to the maximum to divert their attention so that the plunder of the nation can go unnoticed.
Kamikasi: We are all in the dark. Where is Nedim Nazri's source of earning? With that kind of money he must have found a good source, beside carrying his father's briefcase. New Transformational Programme exclusively for bumiputeras only?
Amir H: The fact that Nedim has to move around with a herd of bodyguards is a testament to what sort of character he is and what social circles he involves himself in.
Anticommunalist: RM7 million house, 10 percent downpayment and 90 percent loan at 4.2% interest for 30 years - that's RM30,808 per month to be paid in installments.
It would also mean that junior earns around RM100,000 (one-third household income to qualify for the loan) per month and that he does not have any other loan..
Tehachapi: Yes, live it up my boy while you can still milk the money from plum contracts and various rent payments due you. But ask yourself where is your conscience and morality for such corrupt behaviour.
Alas, these parasites and leeches will continue to gorge themselves, while the poor are left to languish in abject poverty. All these in the name of racial disparity and bumiputera empowerment agenda. What mockery!
Multi Racial: Don't worry, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will not do anything. This is our country's trademark. The authorities are only going after the small fish while the big fish can free to do whatever they like in this lawless country.
Podeh: What's the problem? After all, isn't this the land of endless possibilities? Where else in the world can the unemployed and unemployable afford a RM7 million mansion? The rakyat are just jealous.
DevilsSlaughter: How much taxes has he paid so far?
Paul Warren: Income Tax Department people, when I bought a RM240,000 property all those years ago paying about RM70,000 upfront, you sent me a letter with so many questions which twisted and turned to find out where exactly I got the money to pay for it.
You guys think you got the guts to send Nedim a similar letter? Remember, he likes to punch people in their faces if confronted.
Abasir: PM Najib Razak's Bumiputera Economic Plan which he recently revealed must have worked a miracle. Abracadabra! And now we have a real bumi emerging (in a puff of cigar smoke) with a RM7.2 million property.
And Pemandu may now close shop because the secret formula for the Economic Transformation of Bumiputeras (ETB) has been found.
Fair&Just: A bunch of robbers, thieves and pirates. No wonder we have whole families of minorities committing suicide due to financial difficulties.
All the money are being pocketed left, right and centre where even the sons are so rich, what more the officials themselves. Where do the money come from?
The bulk of taxes are paid by the minorities and yet billions of ringgit of so-called bumiputera aid was announced, even then little of it will trickled down to the poor bumis.
It's obscene corruption and gross severe affront to basic human decency. Malaysiakini cartoonist Zunar aptly described this land as ‘Pirates of the Carry-bn'.
Fernz: Senior did say once that the government needn't pay junior because his father (senior) was rich. That explains the RM7 million house. So, how can senior say he doesn't know? How rich is senior? How did he make his money? Is he willing to declare his assets?
All we know is that senior was the son of the first Malay chairman of Rothmans. The sins of the fathers will be visited on their children.
TehTarik: Nothing will change. We can talk until the cows come home. Umno (through the support of the majority of Malays who have been brainwashed by the media and entitlements) will continue to remain in power until the country becomes bankrupt.
Umno will also ensure that they win the next elections by gerrymandering and fraud. We have learned the hard way - that the rest of the world is the least concerned about election fraud.
The non-Malays have the options of (1) accept life as a second class citizen and prepare for a Greek-like scenario, where the IMF takes over, and (2) play the Umno game by becoming a Baba in Ali-Baba contracts, and (3) emigration, especially for the younger generation.
Doc: I'm sure just like Mahathir's son, Najib's son, Shahrizat Abdul Jalil's son and now Nazri's son, they are all smart, hardworking and are business-savvy Malays.
None of them had received any help from their fathers or mothers in making their million/billions and most certainly they made the money in the true Islamic way and not from corrupt and crony practices.
All those Malaysiakini readers and opposition politicians are just jealous of these ‘geniuses' and just want to ‘fitnah' them. Am I correct, Nazri?
Magnus: Didn't some Umno politician say that it was "lucrative" to be in politics in Malaysia?
Fourtan: Little by little, inch by inch, PCA amendment by PCA amendment, RM7 million house by RM7 million house, they will bring this country to absolute ruination.
Good men and women must stand their ground and fight back now. Or else, we will lose everything.
