In reply to SF Yong's Terengganu's best kept secret, let me be known that I have visited Terengganu many times.

SF Yong is guilty of using the same anecdotal evidence that PAS and their supporters are guilty of. Each and every one of the examples he has given are non-statistical. Any government can always give away things. What they have to prove is whether they can create something.

PAS must show that the system advocated can be statistically proven, over long period of time, in gross domestic productivity (GDP), employment, education standards, lower crime/delinquency rate, health, population growth, etc.

Kelantan has not achieved any of these. As far as I know, many of these things are also not achieved in Terengganu particularly employment and GDP.

PAS excuse always has been that the central government has stood in the way of development like taking away oil royalties and not cooperating. This is precisely just the kind of excuses that communist use. If a system is workable, than the states should be able to do so independently.

Even if I excuse Terengganu for its short tenure, how can one excuse Kelantan and its depleted forest and resources? Look at the oil-rich Arab countries — billions of dollars in oil revenue for decades and yet their industry and educational standard is even lower than that of Malaysia.

PAS and its supporters are incredibly adept at campaigning. I give them that. However, good politicians do not necessarily make the best government, Umno itself is prove of that. I shudder to think if Umno and PAS actually unite and all those people going around making intellectually moronic speeches.

Please keep your anecdotes, cartoons are at least funny.
