BA merely giving free budget consultancy

The shadow budget presented by Barisan Alternatif should be viewed or accepted as a consultancy service given for free to the Barisan Nasional government.
It is after all the norm for employees in a company to provide suggestions to the employer. BN companies are also fond of appointing consultants whatever the condition of its companies, so this is just BA giving suggestions to BN on the budget.
Good or bad, and whether the proposals are partially or totally accepted or rejected, the consultants are paid but in this instance, it's free. The government should just graciously accept the consultancy; whether they agree with the proposals or not, that's another story.
BA at least has done its part in providing an alternative budget.
As Economist says in the letter Fearful of the alternative budget? the government's budget would be bulldozed through as usual.
