With reference to FJ Wang's Alternative budget adds to the fun and LJ's Alternative budget: wishful or wilful?, and the article Opposition front unveils alternative budget, I would further add some thoughts to them.

First and foremost, this alternative budget was drafted by a committee, coordinated by Keadilan deputy president Abdul Rahman Othman, and including PAS central committee members Dr Mohd Hatta Mohd Ramli, Husam Musa (PAS-Kubang Kerian) and others.

Present at the two-hour presentation were key PAS MPs.

PAS has made known its threats to ban everything un-Islamic when it comes to power, and has strongly warned to ban Genting casino and other forms of gambling.

Sales and consumption of alcohol is under strict restrictions in Kelantan and Terengganu.

Now, how can any sane Malaysian believe that PAS is about to do a turnaround?

By being part of the committee that drafted the alternative budget, is PAS suddenly allowing alcohol and gambling?

Next, when the alternative budget was presented, why were the key PAS MPs silent? Rightfully the PAS MPs should be opposing the sale and consumption of alcohol and gambling!

By being silent on this part, but by being part of the committee which drafted this alternative budget, PAS has definitely lost its rights to oppose BN's tolerance of alcohol and gambling!

Or is it a pack of lies we are served with in this BA's alternative budget?
