The ultimate responsibility on the 'deportee' children's well-being lies with their parents. Surely if the parents had requested for medical assistance, they would have gotten it from the Malaysian authorities?

Most of the illegal immigrant children are already malnourished and probably not properly vaccinated due to their parents' lack of education, awareness or money. These parents will only seek medical help when their children are in the severe stage of illness.

Maybe they are afraid to seek medical help for fear of being caught for being in Sabah illegally. Babies are fed with condensed milk or orange squash by their parents in their first months of being born, and it is not an uncommon sight to see children of illegal immigrants scavenging rubbish bins, or begging for money in Kota Kinabalu.

I don't see why these illegal immigrants do not want to go back to the Philippines. Surely it cannot be any worse than how they are living now in Sabah, or is it really bad in the Philippines? The Philippine government should not use the death of 'deportee' children as an opportunity to revive its claim on Sabah.

The Philippine government should blame itself for not ensuring proper and safe repatriation of its people. The The Philippine government should concentrate on providing assistance to these repatriated people once they reach home. They cannot blame the Malaysian government for not looking after the well-being of these illegal immigrants.

The Philippine government's refusal to set up a consulate in Sabah (due to their claim on Sabah) has resulted in the well-being of their people not being looked after properly.
