BN, PAS equally bloodthirsty
Culture, Arts and Tourism Minister Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir's recent outburst on shooting cheating cabbies and PAS' clamour to chop off hands and stone adulterers — what's the difference between the two parties in outdoing each other's bloodthirsty quest?
I wonder what happens if in the event this hypothesis does take place: a Muslim thief robs a non-Muslim taxi driver but claims that he committed the act because the taxi driver cheated him. The BN government, going by its law, would have the taxi driver shot while PAS would amputate the robber's hand.
Will our country then vastly increase its population of amputees while a large number...well, are just dead?
Or can the robber just say he forgives the taxi driver and just give the money away? Or is it the other way round? Or both? Will crime then perpetuate our society because thieves, when caught, can always say they will return the loot?
It is a bloodcurdling thought that the two parties are in power in our country.
