Taking umbrage at Wan Azizahs blanket statement

I entirely agree with Jeffrey's comment on Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and Keadilan's position on the Islamic state issue.
Further I take umbrage with Wan Azizah's statement that no Muslim can reject the syariah law and hudud. If she wants to be really careful about what to say on the matter, she should say that
Muslims like her in Keadilan cannot reject the syariah and hudud.
For a lot of thinking Muslims, the syariah is too vague. There is too much confusion generated by politicians in this country anyway between fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and the syariah. In fiqh, which imam's view are we talking about as being applicable? There is too much differences of opinion in fiqh. The fact that Wan Azizah did not make this distinction proves the case on confusion.
Go back to the drawing board, I say.
