KINIBIZ Tiger has been celebrating since the first week of August... Not just the Hari Raya celebrations, but the arrest of ivory trade kingpin Emile N’Bouke, known as ‘The Boss’, in Dakar, Togo.

The bloke was arrested, and more than 700kg of ivory were confiscated from him, hopefully marking the end of  the Boss’ 40-year reign as an ivory trade kingpin.

Yes, Tiger is against the killing and trade of anything to do with wildlife... It’s just not on, you know. Eating hapless creatures for food is fine but to kill them for other purposes is not cool, Tiger thinks.

Anyway, speaking of kingpins, Tiger was reading Malaysian Business (what’s wrong with that???); the issue with the highest paid directors on its cover.

To think that Lim Kok Thay of Genting fame gets paid about RM160 million a year. Somehow Tiger’s snack just now, a chevrotain, (a sang kancil la) no longer tastes so good.

So here’s a new plan.

This one takes effect as Felda Global Ventures has yet to reply, and other GLCs such as Sime Darby, NCB Holdings and UEM Sunrise replied, albeit in the negative - they said were indeed pleased with Tiger’s expression of interest in their company and in being their CEO - but were forced to decline, for some very polite reason or other.

Hence Tiger is in the midst of writing a proposal to Lim, for Tiger to maybe partake in some of his wealth. Yes Tiger believes in the old adage, “If at first you fail try, try again”. The other adage Tiger really likes is, “It’s not important how low you fall, it’s how high you bounce back that matters”.
