I salute the two brave men featured in the report Malay DAP leaders stand by party in opposing hudud . The stand they have taken and the explanations they have given show that there are Malaysians in the country willing to articulate their views on matters affecting the populace as a whole.

Contrast this with the behaviour of the four Barisan Nasional (Umno) state assemblymen in the Terengganu legislature. Prior to the tabling of the Hudud Bill they were quite vocal about their opposition; however when the time came to vote, they chose to abstain! Why?

Maybe they thought that they could perhaps, should PAS increase its dominance, be able to build their bridge back to their brethren by claiming that they did not after all vote against the Bill. Cowards, that's what they are!

How they get selected to become people's representatives is simply beyond me.
