If Islamic laws are meant to be fair and just, the proponents should let the people choose. Those who wish to be subjected to hudud (Islamic penal code) laws should voluntarily sign up while the others should be allowed to be excluded.

I am pretty sure most of us will still go to heaven. If some people think their path to heaven is the right one, so be it. They should not force others to take the same route. Please allow others to choose how and if they want to go to heaven.

Many ulama (Islamic scholars) have been trying to outdo each other in their bid to show who understand Islam more. Of course, they only do it if it suits their agenda.

For example, many ulama have happily taken up their quota of wives allowed by the religion — which is four. They should allow themselves to be scrutinised by the public to see if they have fulfilled all the conditions set by the Quran in their personal lives before they try to tell others how to live their lives.

Some people want to lead a simple and honest life, without having to bother about religion. They should be allowed the choice to live life the way they want.
