EC duo should resign if 'man enough'
VOXPOP 'If the two are man enough, they should have been ashamed of the tainted election and resign right away instead of hiding under the skirt of immunity.'
Rafizi calls EC duo's dare a ploy to avoid questions
Well Thats Fantastic: Isn't it the duty of the Election Commission (EC) to answer the questions of a member of parliament? Or is the EC only answerable to the prime minister? If it is PM only, there is a huge problem here beyond a badly-conducted election.
All of those ‘elected representatives' should be up in arms for they have no voice in the most important branch of the government as far as upholding democracy and the legitimacy of our government is concerned.
If they are the prime minister's puppets, by law they will of course be biased in their actions, decisions and enforcement of rules.
Mohamad Abdul Malik: I understand that PKR's Pandan MP Rafizi has indeed made the accusations (that the supplier of the indelible ink for GE13 won the contract due to its close ties with the EC leadership) outside Parliament a few days ago.
But I was also made to understand by BN parliamentarians that the statement uttered by him was not what was spoken in Parliament.
If this was the case, Rafizi should just prepare a new statement according to the Parliament Hansard. He should then announced it to the media or even call the TV stations.
This will be hot news in Malaysia or even internationally. Of course, it will also make some lawyers happy.
OMG!!: I fully agreed with Rafizi. In other organisations with a good procurement governance process, there is no way three contracts could be awarded to three linked companies.
The CEO and the procurement manager would have been sacked long time ago. Here the duo can still talk big, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and laws enforcement agencies non-existence while the PM dug his head in the sand.
My4Hope: If the two EC commissioners are man enough, they should have been ashamed of the tainted election and resign right away instead of hiding under the skirt of immunity.
Boycott MSM: If they have nothing to hide, just explain the matter. There is no need for challenges. This is not a boxing match.
Well Thats Fantastic: Rafizi isn't scared and is a much braver man than anyone in BN. He will not walk into their trap so easily. I hope Malaysia is fortunate enough to one day call Rafizi prime minister.
The EC heads won't step down ever because they are protected by BN. How about the EC duo take responsibility for screwing up the indelible ink and stepping down from their jobs?
Sabahan: These two are childish, immature and incompetent. That is the best that can be said about the duo.
Stop Lynas!: As long as these two nuts are around, Malaysian can have elections for another 100 years, and yet don't expect to see the birth of democracy in this land.
#Heavywater: EC, grow up and resign. That is what majority of Malaysians wants so what is stopping you? Money? Power? Definitely not wisdom.
BN retains Kuala Besut with bigger majority
Kim Quek: In truly Malaysia Boleh fashion, BN's open election bribery using public funds has just hit a new record at RM34,000 per voter.
With such unprecedented downpour of election goodies, and the entire government machinery and the monopolised mass media working full-time to help BN's campaign, it could only manage to increase its share of votes by 1%.
That is plenty of reason for BN to get worried. Imagine if there had been a level-playing field, wouldn't BN had convincingly lost the electoral battle?
As for PAS' supporters, we salute them for keeping their integrity and moral principles intact despite such onslaught of corrupt material inducement to solicit their votes.
Well Thats Fantastic: Nothing to be proud of "winning" this way. All Malaysians including those that just voted for BN know that they were bribed.
The problem is that the people are more honest than the government and they felt compelled to vote because of the money they got.
Now BN has the blank cheque they needed from that state.
CiViC: Voters doesn't realise the danger of allowing BN to win. With revelations of beach-front land grabs and sanctioning of contract awards to cronies among the issues made known and yet BN still wins.
The voters are just saying go ahead - take our land, enrich yourself and your cronies, it doesn't matter, we are willing to be your slaves.
God Save Us: Malaysians vote for whoever offers the best goodies. The future and the past don't matter.
