I refer to the several letters commenting on the number of Chinese and Malay Malaysian students in Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard. I would like to congratulate them for obtaining such positions in these prestigious institutions.

Nevertheless, MIT and Harvard are not the only institutions which are of high calibre. There are about 100 of them around the globe.

I am a PhD student in theoretical physics in the Scoula Normale Superiore Italy, one of the prestigious institutes in Italy that is also world-acclaimed.

It does not matter much from where you obtain your degree but how much you can deliver. Instead of worrying too much on which ethnicity one belongs to, one should rather focus on how much ideas and technology one can absorb to be transferred to our beloved motherland, Malaysia.
