I salute Yuzaidi for his sarcasm in the letter Unkind cut on Nanyang. Indeed we may well be heading toward creating a society similar to Aldous Huxley's Brave new world and George Orwell's 1984.

God forbid we may someday become a country that will only accommodate individuals who only support the ruling elite because they 'know best'; that our children will degenerate into 'yes' men and women of the ruling party, with everyone else an 'enemy of the state'. Let's hope this generation does not live to see that day.
