Utusan says Tony Pua hurt Muslims, told to emigrate
Thinking Malaysian: DAP's Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua did not mention anything about Ramadan bazaars, only night markets and farmer markets.
So it is time to sue Utusan Malaysia again.
Wira: Night markets had turned into Ramadan markets - Utusan sure knows how to spin. Pua, sue that Awang ‘Tak' Selamat and his toxic paper for RM100 million ringgit.
Without Umno, Utusan would not dare to spew its venom with impunity. If we want to get rid of Utusan, we must first defeat Umno.
Bamboo: When they can't win an argument, they display their ‘kampung' thug mentality, which is chasing people they don't like out of the kampung.
Utusan, the home minister and even a former prime minister have manifested this trait by asking dissenters to emigrate.
This just exposes their inferiority complex and insecurities because they are defending the indefensible.
Hplooi: This is clearly deliberate misreporting with malicious intent to cause hurt. It is the same as in the case of Australian senator Nick Xenophon.
This kind of mal-intention is evil and whilst not directly causing harm, can bring extremist elements to hurt Pua - all on the strength of a misreport.
Utusan should not only be chastised but severely punished, otherwise they will continue committing their criminal assault on the Malaysian society.
One day the consequences of such unabated assaults will lead to serious and long-term damage.
Aries46: Poor Awang Selamat, he has to earn a living and the way he knows how is to make Utusan readers hate DAP and the Chinese - a case of killing two birds with one stone.
So he spins night markets and farmers markets into Ramadan market and then play on Malay sentiments that Muslim feeling is hurt.
Pua is a mere collateral damage in Selamat's grand scheme of things. The way of the towering Malay?
Laudamus: Awang Selamat, don't hide behind this pseudonym. Be brave and reveal your true identity.
We are not talking about religion here but traffic, so don't be so sensitive and ask a fellow Malaysian to emigrate each time you don't like what he says. It shows your immaturity and childishness.
This Also Can?: What a cunning and devilish editor to twist and turn in his interpretations to poison the minds of the Malays and pit them against other Malaysians. In my mind, he is not fit to be a top editor.
Multi Racial: Actually Utusan executives should be prosecuted and put in jail. They are the biggest troublemakers in the country.
They twist everything into racial issues. Until now, there have been no charges of sedition against their editors and journalists. What double standards we have in this country.
Aniyan: This ‘monster' called Awang Selamat has been issuing statements against the non-Muslims for years. He is destroying the racial harmony in Malaysia and nothing is being done to stop him.
I think he has special immunity given to him by someone powerful.
Anonymous #69337042: Pua, we support you, sue the Utusan for its act of deliberate misreporting.
Louis: Doesn't the closing down of Jonker Walk hurt the feelings of Malacca's Chinese? Indeed, Pua did not mention about closing down Ramadan markets.
Utusan is at it again, trying to stir racial trouble. Praise be to God that Muslims in Malaysia no longer buy those lies, except a few of course.
Not Convinced: And why is PM Najib Razak keeping his elegant silence? Isn't Utusan owned by Umno, the party which he heads?
Rayfire: I am not sure if all Muslims are easily disturbed by these political statements, probably just a handful of overly hyper "all against me and my religion" types.
Pua mentioned nothing about Ramadan bazaars, only night markets and farmer markets. Utusan however added some spice.
No matter how much they are sued, unless they themselves realise how dumb they sound, nothing much will change. Enough of this crappy ‘Blame the Chinese' game.
Abasir: Unhappy Malays in Utusan should just get out of the country.
Home Minister Zahid Hamidi said anyone unhappy should leave and being the non-racist that he is, I'm sure he did not target non-Malays only when he made that brilliant statement.
Heavenly King: Utusan, again Muslims are hurt? The Utusan editors reckon Muslims are all ‘tau fu'... so soft and vulnerable, easily flattened or smashed.
Magnus: If Tony Pua should emigrate to Taiwan or Hong Kong for saying whatever it was that he said then I suggest whoever who made the suggestion should himself consider emigrating to Indonesia or India.
Nonsense is surely as nonsense says and does.
