Mokhtar Dahlan, the Selangor exco for local government, housing and squatters, and environment, suggested yesterday that the present distress experienced by the PJ residents concerned was simply due to "errors in printing and binding" found in the controversial PJ1 draft plan. This, he insisted, may have caused some misunderstanding.

My message to Mokhtar is, in this 'quota-land' of ours, the quota for ridiculing the people's intelligence is full for this year. We hope he'd try harder next year.

I hope that those Penangites who are affected by the planned highway on the already congested island are also not up in arms merely because of some "errors in printing and binding". Maybe government politicians on the island can be a bit more creative than Mokhtar?
