The news that entrance into universities are now based on merit and not race is a major step for all Malaysians.

Malay Malaysians themselves must be very proud now to show everyone that they are just as good as the rest.

I will be proud myself now to stick out my head and tell all my friends (locals and foreigners alike) that intelligence and ability have nothing to do with race.

One thing bugs me though, reports in the press say that most of the bumiputras take a different exam.

I do not see why we should have two different exams unless these exams serve different purposes.
