The Johor state government today launched a three-month study dubbed 'Suara Hati Johor' to get feedback from the public.

State Menteri Besar Mohamed Khaled Nordin said that the study conducted by researchers from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) involves about 8,000 respondents.

The study with the theme 'Merakyatkan Kerajaan' will enable the state government to formulate policies based on the people's requirements, expectations and needs.

"To realise this aspiration, the government is conducting a study to mark 100 days of my administration as menteri besar.

"It is a platform to strengthen and accelerate economic growth and development geared towards Negeri Johor Maju 2020," he told a press conference in Kota Iskandar, Nusajaya today.
    
The main objective is to identify indicators related to people's problems, identify key issues faced by the people, and propose policies to be implemented by the government.
    
Mohamed Khaled added that the study will use two methods - namely, quantitative and qualitative - via research in the field and websites.
    
It is expected to produce useful output for policies to be implemented by the state government.

He expressed confidence that the people of Johor have been very concerned towards government policies, and invited them to participate with honesty, rationality and frankness.
