Hats off to the ex-chief imam of the National Mosque Azamudden Md Taib for his morally courageous act of exposing the wrongdoings, moral corruption and hypocrisy of the handful of rich and powerful politicians in Malaysia.

There is certainly nothing illegal or unlawful to put a name to the cases he had mentioned as most of the cases have all been reported in newspapers sometime in the past. Many of the cases are already known to the public.

His opponents were wrong to challenge him to give the names in an attempt to subvert the legal process which is still ongoing. It would be sub judice if he does that. The mullah (religious chief) is certainly smarter than his challengers and conspirators.

The iman should keep up his good work and principles. All right thinking Malaysians, both Muslims and non-Muslims, salute leaders like him.
