Selangor PKR has yet to be told what duties will be assigned to secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution in his capacity as the party’s political liaison officer in the menteri besar’s office.

NONE"We have not received his scope of work. And (state PKR chief) Azmin Ali is away. When he returns, we will sit down and find out what this is all about," state deputy chief Zuraida Kamaruddin told a press conference at the party headquarters today.

Asked if the state party leadership was consulted and had agreed to Saifuddin's appointment, she declined comment on the basis of not having any information on the matter.

azlanTeresa Kok (left) of DAP and Dzulkefly Ahmad of PAS are the other two party liaison officers in the Selangor MB’s office.

All three are expected to coordinate and improve communications between the state party leadership and the state government.

On a related matter, Zuraida said she hopes the process of policy making in the state will be improved by holding more meetings with elected representatives and party officials.

This would enable their input to be included and allow for feedback before decisions are made.

She said the people expect better facilities and services from the re-elected Pakatan Rakyat government, and that this could be met with disbursement of the RM2.6 billion in reserves.
