The peace agenda set by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad for MCAs rival factions has brought great shame to thousands of MCA members since it basically meant that Umno had been invited to suspend the democratic process in MCA. If the party elections were held as scheduled, Team B is certain to be wiped out for their utter lack of credibility and support in the party.

Team B once raised the question of so-called 'phantom members' and even threatened to 'expose' the full list. However, once they are assured of positions and powers in the party until 2005, they suddenly dropped the demand to clean up the membership list. This shows that they are not honest and sincere.

If they are serious and honest, they should leave no stone unturned to clean up the membership list especially since they are in power again with Umnos support. As Lim Ah Lek, Chua Jui Meng and Ong Tee Keat are now leaders of MCA again, they should have the allegations investigated.

Or they will be leaders of a party filled with alleged phantom members? Whats happened to responsibility and accountability?

Who can trust MCA again if the allegation of phantom members is not fully investigated and the result published?
