I read Zamani's Seek justice at home first concerning Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's call for Muslim unity to deal with the Israel's acts of terror against the Palestinians in Jenin, Nabulus, Ramallah and other cities.

It is perfectly reasonable for Mahathir to appeal to his brother leaders in the Muslim world to take a common stand against Israel. This has nothing to do with Malaysia being a large or small country. I, therefore, fail to understand his reaction.

Furthermore, I do not see why he should link PMs call for Muslim unity with the issues at home. The Perwaja matter, a complex problem indeed, is under investigation, and the dissents at home are held on grounds of national security.

If he feels that these dissents are being mistreated, then he should approach Suhakam and the courts for justice to be done. We are a country that respects the rule of law despite what cynics may think.
