Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan underwent surgery to treat a shoulder injury he suffered while performing stunts for an upcoming film, his aides said today.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan underwent surgery to treat a shoulder injury he suffered while performing stunts for an upcoming film, his aides said today.
“He was operated at the Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday and the doctor has said the surgery was successful,” his manager, Pooja Dadlani, said by phone from Mumbai.
Shah Rukh Khan will be discharged from hospital in the next two days, but needs rest and will be able to resume work in two to three months, the Mid-Day daily reported, quoting his doctor Sanjay Desai.
Shah Rukh Khan often suffered shoulder pain during shooting for his new movie Chennai Express, but refused to use body doubles and performed his own stunts.
He is one of the world’s biggest stars and has appeared in over 70 films. He has suffered broken ribs, a twisted ankle and neck and knee injuries in the past.
