Selangor MB delay eroding public's trust, says Guan Eng

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng is calling for a speedy resolution on the forming of the new Selangor government, noting that other state governments have already done so.While internal disputes are common for any political party, he said this should not spill over and affect the administration of the state.
“We thought Selangor would be faster than us (the Penang government), but there is still a problem. I think it has to be resolved speedily…
“Especially when everyone has decided who is the menteri besar-designate, so we hope there are no more delays and this can be proceeded quickly, because this is the expectation and the trust of the people,” he said at a press conference today.
He added DAP is disappointed that the state government is not yet up and running, but to a question, dismissed the possibility that this would turn voters away from Pakatan Rakyat.
Lim said this is because they have voted for Pakatan Rakyat in hopes of a clean government, which the previous Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has delivered.
This is also why DAP is endorsing him to continue his work, he said.
Lim declined to comment on PKR Selangor chief Azmin Ali’s complaints over the process of selecting the menteri besar, saying that it is PKR’s internal affairs.
Thus far, all three Pakatan Rakyat parties have endorsed Khalid for a second term in office.
Azmin however convened a press conference yesterday publicising his discontent over the process with which his party has taken to arrive at the decision on the MB.
