Umno-linked blogger Papagomo and his PKR counterpart King Jason were both remanded today to assist police investigations.

According to police tweets, Papagomo is remanded for three days from today until Friday, while King Jason is remanded for two days from today until Thursday.

Both were arrested for allegedly slandering the police and making racist statements.

Police said that Papagomo is being held under Section 233 of the Multimedia and Communication Act 1998 and Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act, while King Jason is held under the Section 233 of the Multimedia and Communication Act 1998 and Section 500 of the Penal Code.

Police arrested the two on Tuesday after reports were lodged against their postings on social media that were alleged to be seditious, playing up racial sentiments and propagated lies.
