Sensible for DAP to lead Ketari by-election

I think Steven Gan's editorial Keadilan should give way to DAP on the Ketari by-election makes very
good sense. The plea by PRM secretary-general Ang Hiok Gai to DAP not to be emotional
about wanting to contest the seat is not well thought out at all.
If you take a random street poll, I think it would show support for DAP contesting the Ketari seat in a straight fight with Barisan Nasional-MCA and with Barisan Alternatif lobbying support for DAP.
Malaysians understand the nature of the BA pact and the decision of DAP to leave the pact because of the Islamic state issue. Malaysians also understand the need for a growing and stronger opposition to be represented in the legislature irrespective of the pact among political parties.
