Why has Barisan Alternatif kept rather quiet on so many issues? Theres the recent police report against the previous MAS management, the mismanagement in Perwaja (brought up again, this time around by none other than Dr Mahathir Mohamad himself), the ulama controversy, further detention of so-called KMM members in Kamunting Detention Centre and the Employees Provident Funds five percent dividend, the lowest ever.

Should not BA and also the DAP get together with all citizens of the country to collectively pressure the proper authorities, i.e. the government of the day, to deal with all these problems?

The alternative grouping(s) should join the people to exert pressure on the government to investigate further, and come out with answers as soon as possible. The Perwaja affair has been going on for the past seven years. What has the Anti-Corruption Agency done all these while? We hear so little from the ACAs head that we cannot even seem to recall his name offhand.

We should not allow our rudderless government sweep everything under the proverbial carpet and carry on as if business was as usual.

MAS huge loss was blamed on the Sept 11 terror attacks, but in reality the bleeding had begun a few years earlier. The airlines assets were sold off and the mismanagement began much earlier than that fateful day.

BA should not wait for the next by-election or the next general elections to get its act together. Now is the time for the party to show its political mettle.
