your sayTehachapi: By all means, we need to have a peaceful transition of power. The constitution provides for the change of government as this is a democracy in which the people have the right to choose.

The caretaker government during the campaigning period needs to adhere to the rules of the game, while the civil service or government servants are not beholden to any political party. It has to remain neutral.

For the same reason, the PM, DPM and former PM have all violated their authorities or positions in taking their campaigning to the army, armed forces, navy, police, teachers and government servants.

This sort of power abuse ought to be highlighted by Pakatan Rakyat's security advisory council. We cannot close our eyes to such blatant abuses. Their misbehaviour has to be highlighted and condemned.

Ferdtan: This is the sign of the day - BN is now confirmed doomed. Former inspector-general of police (IGP) Musa Hassan, being its former chief, still has influence with the police intelligence.

He must have inside information that BN may be defeated on May 5. We hope many will jump the sinking BN ship - it gives momentum to Pakatan to create a inclusive force to win over all the former BN supporters.

Yes, according to Sun Tzu's art of war, victorious army must allow an escape route to a defeated enemy, or else the enemy will fight you until the last man. Pakatan's strategy is commendable looking from this perspective.

Jason Khaw: This is a really, really bad decision by Pakatan in embracing Musa. It is the second bad decision from the opposition. The first was PAS admitting former Umno vice-president and Selangor MB Muhammad Muhammad Taib.

Not Convinced: Musa has denied that he has joined as a member of the Pakatan council. However, he said he had periodically given advice on security matters at the request of Pakatan in his personal capacity based on his experience in the field of security.

My2CentsWorth: One has to understand the power of government. Stability and safety is essential when there is a transfer of power. There is no point of having power but not security.

The inner working of all the security forces are complicated and hard to penetrate without the help from these "so-called" repentant soldiers.

After their work is done, we can judge them for what they had done in the past. The rule of law must always prevail but so is compassion. Only then, we will have a just and fair society.

Ghkok: So it's complete - ex-chief of armed forces, ex-admiral of navy, ex-air force officer, and ex-IGP. The Pakatan security council is ready.
